THE LOOK Art or Photography?

ARTOGRAPHY is a new visual exploration for Bonnie, utilizing Photoshop CS3 to further enhance her Impressionist photographs to appear even more like a painting. The sample below from the ARTOGRAPHY Series shows the effect of Impressionist brush strokes. When the ARTOGRAPHY images are reproduced with Kodak metallic paper or on a canvas the images appear to be Impressionist paintings.

ARTOGRAPHY
is the recombining of elements with photographs and the computer to create the final new image. Not all of the photographs you will see for sale have been manipulated. One gallery is Artography and the other, Photography is a presentation of unretouched photographs. The "effects" in this section are a result of waiting for the perfect moment, special lenses, and the natural elements of light, distance, and atmosphere.

All Artography images and photographic images are created from BIG 17 to 24 megabyte files. The final result is a large image with an impressive show of color, detail, and style.

Impressionist Photographs

Bonnie Tomek paints with her camera and has been taking Impressionist photos for a very long time. Using a combination of patience, cameras, lenses, distance for atmosphere, film type, and timing she creates these haunting classic images.
"Impressionist Photos", part of an ongoing series of photographs, depicts those moments when the world looks like an Impressionist painting. It is roumered that the Impressionists said, "Why paint realistic images, people now have a camera for that."
Bonnie says, "The camera paints pictures."
